To be able to do this we need to gear up with as many item level 90 pieces as we can, especially our DPS classes. This means that anyone that is interested in helping out with getting Turn 4 completions needs to focus their attention and mythology tomestones on one main job.
As of right now, and from off the top of my head, the members that are currently active in our Coil runs that are near ready to take on Turn 4 or are at least, seemingly, focusing on one job to be able to do so are (the numbers indicate how many item level 90 pieces the member has equipped on their main job):
If we are to beat Turn 4, we will need to have more of our members focusing their attention and mythology tomestones on their DPS jobs, especially for magic damage (casters). Turn 4 requires that we have at least two really good, geared casters.. The better our casters are, the better we will do in Turn 4 overall. So, saying this, we NEED dedicated BLMs and/or SMNs!!!! So, we beat Turn 2.
We use the strategy from the JPG that Adam posted almost exactly (view strategy). We actually used different numbers for our positions and passing order, but for now just follow the numbers shown in the JPG. If you care to participate in future Turn 2 runs, learn the positions.
Quick breakdown of the positions:
Positions for the tanks and melee are self-explanatory. If rot is on the tanks and/or melee, the melee player will take the rot and immediately pass it to Position 1 and then return to attacking ADS. For the melee, taking rot from a tank can be dangerous so the melee should call out to be fully healed and buffed before doing so. Positions 1 and 3 are for the healers. The healers should only need to move for dodging. During the Allagan Rot phase, the other ranged players are responsible for taking rot off the healers when told to do so. Position 2 is the position that is most involved in the rot rotation because they are responsible for passing the rot between the healers. This position requires a ranged DPS, preferably a SMN (my preference due to Raise) or BLM but another BRD is also possible or another SCH (in my head this can work with Selene fairy, DOTS, Raise, shields, and helping prevent tanks from dying). Positions 4 and 5 are for the BRDs. These positions are responsible for passing/taking rot to/from the healers as well as exchanging the rot between each other.
Tank notes:
Aside from the usual swapping of tanking duties between the two tanks, at least one of the tanks needs to communicate to the healers as to which tank is actually tanking at any given moment during the fight.
Melee notes:
We usually run with a DRG as the only melee DPS because the path we take to ADS gimps blunt (MNK) damage. It is very important that the melee DPS stays alive to use the Limit Break (three bars). Limit Break is used only AFTER ADS does Piercing Laser after his first Baltast! The melee player should watch their enmity during the whole fight because one auto-attack from ADS can take out about 75% of their HP.
Healer notes:
We run this strategy with at least two healers (a primary and a secondary). For the remainder of these notes, we will assume that the primary healer is a WHM and that the secondary healer is a SCH.
The priority here is for the healers to keep the tanks alive and as close to full health as possible for the whole duration of the fight.
Range notes:
The BRDs are responsible for silencing every High Voltage that ADS attempts to cast. It is highly recommended that the BRD that is up next to silence DO NOTHING but auto-attack and wait until they use their silence on High Voltage before resuming their usual attack rotation.
One thing that I want to try differently is to have the BRD that is situated in Position 4 (as seen in the JPG) to be the one that is the first silencer for every new enemy, especially ADS. Also, we should try to have it so that the BRD that is waiting to silence have Mage's Ballad active (let me know if this is not a good idea).
It is not necessary for any of the ranged DPS to immediately return to their original positions, as shown in the JPG, after passing/taking rot due to immunity.
